Their Caymus-Suisun Winery and Tasting Room will open in late 2018, and promises to usher in a new era in the wine-making history of the valley. When Caymus Vineyards recognized the potential of Suisun Valley, they partnered in 2014 with a few select growers to bring out a new line of Caymus-style wines featuring Suisun grapes. This small winery dedicates itself to a traditional “Old School” form of wine making by handcrafting unique and distinctive wines through experience and taking time to smell the wines. They continue to win gold medals with their estate-bottled Merlot wines, as well as several other varietals and blends. The Lanza family after three generations still own Wooden Valley Winery, and Mario's descendants today continue a tradition of fine wine making using grapes from their own vineyard, as well as grapes from other vineyards in Suisun Valley.

Mario Lanza joined the winery in 1944 as a partner, and took over full ownership 11 years later. Wooden Valley Winery dates back to 1933, which makes it the oldest winery in Suisun Valley under continuous operation.
